Qiu vs Make

Make gives you a canvas. Qiu gets the job done.

Make gives you a canvas where you map out every step. Qiu is a coworker you give the goal to, and it gets the job done, including in websites and apps that have no connector.

The short answer

Choose by how your work looks

Choose Make if…
  • Your process is fixed, your data always arrives in the same shape, and you want to control every module, route and filter.
  • Every app you use has a connector in its catalog of 3,000+ apps.
  • You want a very cheap way in: a Free plan with 1,000 credits a month, and paid plans from $9/month for 10,000 credits.
  • Your team already has scenarios that run well, are documented and have someone to maintain them.
Choose Qiu if…
  • You'd rather describe the result in one sentence than draw and maintain a diagram.
  • Some of the work happens in websites or programs with no API. Qiu drives a real browser and, in phase 1, a desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux that sees the screen and uses the mouse and keyboard.
  • You want it to remember your clients, your preferences and what it did last week, without you building data stores.
  • You want a team of niche coworkers (sales, support, marketing…) coordinated by a coworker-manager, and, on the Business plan, used by your whole team with no per-seat fee.

Key differences

What really changes

You give it a goal and it keeps going

In Make, a schedule or an event triggers a scenario, and the run follows exactly the modules you drew. In Qiu, you give it the goal and it keeps working while you get on with something else. It decides each step, and if it hits a captcha, a code or a password, it asks you in the chat and waits.

Memory you don't have to design

If you want a Make scenario to keep something between runs, you store it yourself in data stores (the Free plan includes 1 data store and 1 MB). Make's agents get context when you upload files, for example. Qiu comes with a second brain: personal memory across chats, memory per group and semantic search, so it doesn't start from zero every time.

A working day, not a single run

In Make, each scenario runs when a schedule or an event triggers it. Qiu keeps background goals, routines and watches going 24/7. After a restart, it picks up where it left off. And before it pays, sends or touches anything sensitive, it shows you a "Confirm" card.

Your own AI, your own apps

In Make, AI runs through Make's AI Provider and uses credits. On a paid plan you can connect your own provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic. In Qiu you connect your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, and those runs cost nothing extra. Where there's no connector, Qiu goes in through the browser the way a person would.

Switching

Switch in 3 steps

  1. Pick the scenario that gives you the most grief

The one that breaks on new cases, or the one that depends on a website without an API. Tell Qiu the result you want in one sentence.

  2. Connect the same accounts

Google, Microsoft 365, Slack, GoHighLevel or your bank via Ponto. If you like, connect your Claude or ChatGPT too.

  3. Run both side by side and compare

Leave the Make scenario on for a few days. Once Qiu gets the same result, turn it off. Anything that works well in Make can stay there.

FAQ

What people ask us

Does Qiu replace Make?

For work that changes, goes through websites with no API, or needs judgment, yes. For moving identical data between apps that have connectors, Make is still a good choice, and many teams will use both.

Make already has AI Agents. What's different?

Make's agents live on the scenario canvas: you configure them with a model, instructions and inputs, and they can be reused across workflows. Qiu is a team of coworkers with their own memory, a real browser and a desktop app. They work 24/7 and ask you to confirm before anything sensitive.

Where is my data in each one?

In Make, you choose a US or EU data center when you create your organization, and you can't change it later. Qiu is a managed service in Qiu's cloud, and before it pays, sends or touches anything sensitive it asks for your approval with a "Confirm" card.

How does pricing compare?

Make charges in credits: the Free plan gives you 1,000 a month, and paid plans start at $9/month for 10,000. Most actions use 1 credit; some AI features use more. Qiu has three flat prices: €29, €99 and €299 a month. If you connect your own Claude or ChatGPT, those runs cost nothing extra.

Can my team work in it?

In Make, multiple teams and role management need the Teams plan or higher. In Qiu, workspaces have members and permissions, and coworkers share out the work through an orchestrator. On the Business plan (€299/mo), everyone on your team uses it with no per-seat fee and several agents at once.

Can Qiu make payments or purchases on its own?

Not without you. Money decisions and sensitive actions go through a "Confirm" card that you approve.
