Choose Lindy if...

The short answer

  • Your team lives in Slack, iMessage and email, and you want one shared assistant that answers inside those threads.
  • You need formal compliance already in place: Lindy states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA and PIPEDA, and its Enterprise plan adds a BAA, SSO/SCIM and audit logs.
  • You rely on a very large integration catalog: it advertises 1,500+ integrations plus MCP server connections.
  • You prefer paying for usage: from $29.99/mo for 3,000 credits, with top-ups at $10 per 1,000.
Choose Qiu if...

The short answer

  • You want several specialists (sales, support, marketing) coordinated by a coworker-manager that splits up the work, rather than a single assistant.
  • You want it to work in your desktop apps, not just the browser: Qiu sees the screen and uses mouse and keyboard on Windows, Mac and Linux (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; phase 1).
  • You want your whole team to use it with no per-seat fee and several agents at once (Business plan, €299/mo).
  • You already pay for Claude or ChatGPT and don't want to pay for usage twice: runs on your own AI cost nothing extra in Qiu.

Key differences

What changes day to day

24/7 work that survives a restart

Qiu works through background goals, routines and watches that keep going 24/7 and resume on their own after a restart. Lindy also runs scheduled tasks; the difference with Qiu is that long-running work isn't lost if the machine restarts.

Personal, group and semantic memory

Lindy stores what it learns in editable files shared by the whole team. Qiu keeps separate layers: a personal memory that follows you across chats, another per group or workspace, and semantic search over all of it. What's yours doesn't get mixed with what belongs to the team.

A day in the agent's life

In the morning a sales coworker reviews the CRM in GoHighLevel, mid-morning the support coworker answers email, and in the afternoon the marketing coworker posts to social via GHL. When something sensitive comes up (a payment, a purchase, a send), Qiu shows a "Confirm" card and waits; if it hits a captcha, a code or a password, it asks you. According to its site, Lindy also asks for approval before writing or sending.

Bring your own AI and your apps

In Qiu you can connect your Claude or ChatGPT and those runs cost you nothing extra. Lindy lets you pick a model per task, but everything is paid in its credits and its site doesn't mention bringing your own key. On integrations, Lindy has the bigger catalog; Qiu makes up for it with a real browser and desktop for anything without an API, and it also builds and publishes websites and apps.

How to switch

Switch in 3 steps

  1. Inventory your Lindy routines. Note what each skill and routine does (schedule, apps it touches, which approvals it needs).
  2. Connect your accounts and your AI in Qiu. Google or Microsoft 365, Slack, your CRM, and your Claude or ChatGPT if you have one. Ask Qiu to create a coworker per area and rebuild the routines.
  3. Run both side by side during the 15-day trial. Compare results and, once Qiu covers what you need, turn off the routines in Lindy before your credit cycle renews.
FAQ

What people ask us

Does Qiu work in Slack or iMessage like Lindy?

Today you talk to Qiu through Telegram and the web, and it connects to Slack as an app it works with. Lindy replies inside Slack threads and over iMessage. If your team only talks through those channels, factor that in.

Which one is cheaper?

It depends on usage. Lindy charges in credits (2 to 250 for a simple ask, up to 2,500 for a big build, per its pricing page) and every active user is billed. Qiu has monthly plans (€29, €99 or €299/mo) and, if you connect your Claude or ChatGPT, those runs cost nothing extra.

Where is my data?

Qiu is a managed service in Qiu's cloud, and before any sensitive action it asks for your approval with a "Confirm" card. Lindy doesn't publish a provider or region on its security page and refers those questions to its team (privacy@lindy.ai) and its Trust Center.

Does Lindy have certifications Qiu doesn't mention?

Yes: Lindy states SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, HIPAA and PIPEDA, plus a BAA on Enterprise. If your industry requires those certifications by contract, check before you decide.

Can Qiu use desktop software?

Yes. Besides a real browser, the desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux sees the screen and uses mouse and keyboard, e.g. in Illustrator, Photoshop or InDesign (phase 1). According to its site, Lindy drives the browser when there's no integration.

What if we're a team?

The Business plan (€299/mo) is Qiu for your whole team, no limits: everyone on your team uses it with no per-seat fee and several agents at once, with your own AI (your Claude or ChatGPT). On Lindy, every active user is billed.
